When a dog makes a "bad" choice or appears "naughty", it is often because they are experiencing anxiety, fear, frustration, over arousal or another emotion. All these emotions are not that great for a dog to feel, so be patient with your dog. Rather than resort to a knee jerk reaction such as punishment, identify the real cause of the behaviour, begin addressing that and help your dog to make great choices in life! The choice is yours!
